With a background in Business Administration and a Master’s in Entrepreneurship, my career took an exciting turn after organizing a top-tier technology event in Spain. Inspired by science YouTubers, I developed a passion for science communication. Today, at Scienseed, I’m combining my business acumen with my love for science to make a real impact. Driven by building strong business relationships, I am a results-oriented professional with a passion for problem-solving and adaptability. I leverage my analytical skills to develop solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive profitability. My guiding principle, “per aspera ad astra”, drives me to overcome obstacles and strive for excellence in all that I do.
Aneta Gumieniak
Projects Director
My interest for communicating through the written word led me to study journalism. Quickly, I dived into a wide range of communication formats and specialised in audiovisual production. Not until then did I realize the importance of overseeing the execution process from an initial concept to the final delivery. Over the years, I have been broadening my experience in project management, playing a hybrid role by coordinating teams while also being responsible for good client relationships. After exploring a diverse range of sectors, I settled on science and technology where I help bring communication one step closer to its intended audience. Since 2018, I have been growing with Scienseed and I currently run the Projects Department.
Marta Poza
Administrative Assistant
I graduated in Biology by vocation but neither the circumstances nor the luck was right for me to be able to dedicate myself professionally to it, so I started working in the administrative sector. After more than 20 years, I can say that I have completed my job profile performing management, administrative and organisational tasks. Working at Scienseed allows me to continue developing administrative tasks surrounded by biology, science, and great colleagues.

Effective communication has been the cornerstone of my professional journey. My career began with mastering the art of conveying messages through various audiovisual formats, with a specialization in film. Over time, I expanded my expertise to include agency work and the scientific sector. I am particularly passionate about not only delivering key messages for our clients but also capturing the subtle nuances of each project. My role involves managing internal teams and ensuring that the client’s vision is accurately represented in the final product, tailored to their specific needs.
At Scienseed, I am continuously exposed to innovative projects, allowing me to guide them towards their specific objectives. I maintain constant communication with both clients and the creative team, ensuring alignment to achieve the best possible outcomes for each goal.
Elena Alvarado
Project Manager
I am a project manager with a background in linguistics and communication, which has provided me with a unique perspective in approaching project management. Having grown up in an Italian-Spanish family, I learnt early on the importance of communication and, above all, the essentiality of doing it effectively. I combined my passion for communication with my natural propensity for organization and punctuality.
Working at Scienseed represents for me an opportunity for both professional and personal enrichment, allowing me to grow in a stimulating and dynamic environment, where ideas can flourish and lead to excellent results.

Lucas Sánchez, PhD
Co-founder / Director
I have worked in a research laboratory, on the radio, in a newspaper and as a teacher of modern harmony and jazz. In this particular melting pot, I acquired diverse skills and a growing curiosity: to explore the possibilities that each format offers to communicate knowledge and innovation. That’s why I co-founded Scienseed with Guzmán. Currently, I’m the director of the company and I’m in charge of the Communication and Creativity Department.
Bruno Martin
Science Communicator
I’m a Biologist by training but my background is in journalism — I used to work as a science reporter, convinced that research stories need to be well told for everyone’s benefit, scrutiny and enjoyment. I am now especially interested in the social side of science and in communication about the global climate crisis. At Scienseed, I’m in charge of projects ranging from technical writing to creative campaigns, always using audience insights to guide the communication style.
Nerea Felices
Science Communicator
I wanted to do science communication since I started my BSc in Biomedicine. However, I wasn’t brave enough to act on it until I started an internship in Scienseed during my MSc. I learnt a lot during that stay, and enjoyed it so much, that I turned around my career path and focused on it. After strengthening my communication skills through courses and seminars, I was lucky enough to land on Scienseed again, now for the long ride. Using my knowledge to help people understand science and innovations gives me a real sense of achievement, both personally and professionally.
Nuria Chamorro
Science Communicator
I have always been passionate about science and, at the same time, I love art and writing. So, after studying biotechnology at university, I found in science dissemination an opportunity to combine my passions. That’s why I took a master’s degree in Science Journalism and Communication, thanks to which I was able to train in different communication companies. Soon I realized that science communication is not only valuable for society, but also for its professionals, it’s a way to never stop learning! Currently, at Scienseed, I use my skills to disseminate scientific knowledge to different audiences and in multiple formats.
Beatriz Fernández
Science Communicator
Journalist, copywriter, communicator? If I had to choose, I’d say I’m simply a writer who explores the world around me to fuel my creativity. My adventures have taken me from planting tomatoes in Croatia to guiding crocodile tours in Australia, but through all these diverse experiences, communication has remained a constant. I believe words are a powerful tool for creating change, and working with Scienseed allows me to turn scientific ideas into stories with the potential to change the world.

Now, as part of the team, I get to combine my passion for science and creativity every day. With a background in both Digital Arts and Biotechnology, I work closely with our designers, diving deep into the science we communicate, while also getting hands-on with content creation, writing, and marketing strategies. It’s been incredibly rewarding to find a team that shares my enthusiasm and commitment to making science accessible and engaging.

I’ve always loved writing, which is why I pursued a degree in Communications. I’ve always believed in the power of stories, not just to entertain, but to inspire and create change. I found this in science communication, where I discovered a new way of telling stories that truly mattered to me. Now, in Scienseed, I work alongside professionals who are committed to making a difference. Being even a small part of this value chain is incredibly fulfilling, and it’s shown me that our true purpose can often be found in the most unexpected places.
Ariadna Mendoza

I came across science communication during my master’s in Plant Biotechnology. Discovering the possibility to make science accessible for everyone was love at first sight for me! I have been writing artistic pieces since I can remember, and I also studied cinema while doing my bachelor’s in Biotechnology. So, indeed, I found the best combination in mixing my fascination for science and my passion for arts in this career path. At Scienseed, I am eager to use my knowledge of the scientific community and my creativity to disseminate science to many audiences, using all the formats you can imagine and more.

Clara Prieto
Art Director
Focusing my career on infographics and scientific illustration since day one has led me to work as an information designer for newspapers, organisations and universities around the globe. I’ve combined this with my experience in the field learning first-hand about my second passion: ecology. I’m currently the art director of Scienseed and I have a particular focus on conservation and environment-related projects.
Irene Zapardiel

I’ve worked as an animator for several short pieces, corporate and social media videos. My background in design allows me to be versatile and enjoy not only animation but also 2D & 3D design and illustration. I love exploring new techniques and styles while finding the right fit for every project. At Scienseed, I’m applying my skills to find the best way to portray information in an appealing and accessible way.
Julia Méndez

I have worked as a designer for the past few years, primarily focusing on web and graphic design. I enjoy almost anything related to artistic creation, whether it is handcrafted or digital. However, I am recently diving into the realms of animation and scientific communication. At Scienseed, I am thrilled to harness my artistic skills to communicate meaningful ideas that have the power to make a real difference and change the world.
Elena Contel
Web Designer & Science Illustrator
As a creative student of Biotechnology, I always enjoyed summarising and making schemes from scientific concepts to make them more visual and memorable. I then decided to combine my scientific background with my love for drawing through a Masters program in Scientific Illustration. At Scienseed, I apply my unique skills to different formats such as web design, infographics and illustration. This allows me to express complex information in an accessible way, which is, after all, my passion!
Camino Fernández
Graphic Designer
My passion for science led me to study Biotechnology, but it was always clear to me that I did not want to stray from my other passion: art. Although they may seem worlds apart, science and art are perfectly complementary. A good visual representation can transform complex concepts into accessible and understandable ideas. That’s why I decided to specialise and take a Master’s degree in Scientific Illustration. Today, at Scienseed, I combine my scientific and artistic skills to create illustrations in various formats and design websites for clients and projects that seek to communicate science effectively.
Kike del Cerro
Graphic Designer
I’m an illustrator and designer with a deep passion for art—it’s something I live and breathe (literally, as it’s even inked on my skin). That’s why I’m thrilled that Scienseed has challenged me to venture into the world of science and explore the creative side of this logical field. When I’m not working, you’ll often find me volunteering, which is my other great passion.
