Finding the hidden gems of nature in the most barren corners of the Earth

Some microorganisms can live in the most extreme environments. Scientists around the world are very fond of these little creatures since their genes could harbour hidden information of great value. But finding those genes is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Microfluidics is a technique that can make this search way more straightforward. In this video, we show how researchers at Metafluidics EU project manage to do this work.
