A synbio project to domesticate powerful bacteria

Pseudomonas putida is a very interesting microorganism adapted to polluted environments. That’s why it’s perfect for some biotechnology purposes, as it can produce chemical compounds that are usually toxic to other bacteria. Researchers from the Empowerputida project were aware of that and got together to maximize the industrial applications of this interesting bacterium. In this video, they told us how they did it. And we added some rhythm and animations to it!
