Cancer is the leading cause of death worldwide and organisations like the Spanish National Cancer Institute (CNIO) in Madrid are at the forefront of researching the molecular basis for better understanding and combating this disease. We were happy to help the team at CNIO explain how melanoma cells manipulate host defense systems to increase their resistance to immunotherapy. We put together this video to explain the importance of these findings in the context of new therapies and the need for further research in this area.
