Examining how space exploration shapes people’s imaginaries

Bringing together space and anthropology, the Aries project looks at space exploration from an unusual point of view: examining how it shapes people’s imaginaries and impacts their lives. Planetary ethnography, covering many locations and social groups on Earth in a single study, has never been done before. On the project website, we helped explain the motivation behind this unique research, and how it will explore humanity’s imagination regarding life under climate change, on this planet and beyond it.
